I don't think Avadon has any significant connection to Avernum. 4, 5 and 6 had already been released on Steam. Then they remade 1 and 2 and released the remakes on Steam. Then they remade them into Avernum 1, 2 and 3, then made a new trilogy of 4, 5 and 6 with that style. So either Avernum is Avadon part 2 - Avernum 1 and 2 are just not on Steam - Avernum is like Star Wars, last episodes first. The new ones are great too, but with various changes, some for convenience for some lost realism (e.g. Is it worth getting the updated versions or should I stick with the originals?
